New Building Trades Video “Why I Vote” Explains Importance of Union Members' Votes

September 13, 2016 - The State Building and Construction Trades Council has just produced a new video called “Why I Vote,” in which union construction workers explain the importance of union members participating in the November presidential election in order to protect their jobs, wages, safe work environments, and quality of life for themselves and their families.

The video is six minutes long, and features Building Trades members from around the state of California discussing why voting is so important to them, the issues that affect them, and why the stakes are so high.

We would encourage that this video be shown at union meetings and apprenticeship training facilities as often as possible from now until Election Day, November 8, as part of our effort to maximize union voter turnout.
