State Board Allocates $924 Million For 377 School Projects in 154 Districts

December 14, 2011 - The State Allocation Board took action Wednesday to allocate $924 million in bond funds for 377 school construction projects in 154 school districts around the state. The funds became available as the result of bond sales by the state Treasurer in October, and their distribution was approved by the SAB Wednesday. The bond sales were made possible by voter approval of bond issue ballot measures supported by the Building Trades. The action means thousands of construction jobs will be created for school projects in California in 2012.
