Labor Commissioner Seeks Partnership With Building Trades for Labor Law Enforcement

August 25, 2011 - California Labor Commissioner Julie Su is increasing enforcement of labor laws and seeking a stronger partnership with the SBCTC, local BTCs and affiliates, to enforce labor laws on construction projects.  She has designated staff at the Division of Labor Standards and Enforcement to work on building trades related issues.  She shares a strong commitment to protecting workers, leveling the playing field for law-abiding employers, and working collaboratively to pursue those goals.
