UA Sprinkler Fitters Local #709 will be accepting applications for the Apprenticeship Training Program for the Fire Sprinkler Industry on January 14 - 18, 2008.
Applicants must complete an application IN PERSON during the five days listed above between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm only. No exceptions will be made!
Applicants must meet the following requirements
before filing out an application form.
Original or certified documents must be presented
at time of application -- no copies -- no exceptions.
1. Applicants must have proof of legal residency. Bring Birth Certificate, current alien ID or passport.
2. Applicants must be eighteen (18) years or older at the time of application. Bring California driver’s license, birth certificate or baptismal record.
3. Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Bring high school diploma, GED Report (grade average must be forty-five or better over five subjects with no one subject of 40 or less) or high school proficiency test.
4. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
Those who complete the initial application will be scheduled to come back for a written test and an oral interview before being placed on an active waiting list.
NOTE: Completion of application procedures does not guarantee you a job. During the waiting period, if and when you are called, you may be required by your employer to take a drug screen. Good work and school habits, reliable transportation and ability to cope with the construction site environment are a must.
