The built project was funded by the California’s Tobacco Tax Fund (Proposition 99) from 1999-2007, and in that time, developed numerous resources about cessation and prevention of tobacco use by construction and blue collar workers.  Many of these materials are still available in hard copy through the Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of California (TECC):  (search for “union”).

We are pleased to have received funding from Pfizer to update the website and select materials.  Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Remembering our loved ones -

The holiday season is a time to gather with family and friends. In the midst of the gaiety, we often long for those who are now gone. Many have lost loved ones to illnesses caused by tobacco. gives people a chance to remember those who no longer can share our holidays.

This website is a part of the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids. It gives you an opportunity to tell your story and read the stories of others. In "recent stories" you can browse for entries from California as well as from the community you live in. The virtual candlelight vigil is especially appropriate.

If you still use tobacco, read some of these stories. Take a look at your family and friends. Give them a gift only you can give them - your health.
